Generally the waves seem to get bigger towards the left and thats where most shortboard surfers head out to.

Aoshima is a small island located in Miyazaki prefecture just south of Miyazaki city. The main attraction is the small Shrine located in the heart of the island with numbers up to 70 million tourists visiting per year. Opposite the island is a long stretch of beach with great year round surfing. Popular on weekends and busy during the Summer season which is also when the Typhoon swell comes.
